The Cancer Care Centers of Brevard (CCCB) was created by a core group of experts. The CCCB Team has been refining brachytherapy techniques since 1986. Over the years, CCCB has expanded its facility to incorporate the newest in technological advancements. Among the many treatments available at CCCB are: Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT), External Beam Therapy (EBT), Positron Emission Tomography (PET/CT) and Computed Tomography (CT scan). The center offers High Dose Rate (HDR) as well as Low Dose Rate (LDR) Brachytherapy. Our center now offers the only CyberKnife® in Brevard and Indian River counties.

Silas J. Charles, M.D.

Dr. Charles came to Brevard in 1980. He has nearly two decades of brachytherapy experience and has performed thousands of cancer treatment procedures. He is the founder of CCCB and is a technological entrepreneur and innovator. Through his vision for the future of cancer treatment and the care of his patients, Brevard County saw its first state-of-the-art cancer treatment equipment. Dr. Silas does not limit his abilities to just Brevard, but to his native India as well. He is on the cutting edge of technology and strives to provide the facilities in which he works with the best and newest equipment available and the experts needed to ensure successful treatments for all of his patients.

Dr. Panarese was a Major with the US Army Medical Corps and was recognized with many service awards during his distinguished tour of duty.
